What is TrackFunnels?
UTM parameters are short snippets appended to a URL that tell Google Analytics 4 where a visitor came from. A typical tagged URL looks like this:| Parameter | Purpose | Example |
|---|---|---|
utm_source | Identifies the traffic source | google, newsletter |
utm_medium | Identifies the marketing channel | cpc, email |
utm_campaign | Names the campaign | spring_sale |
utm_term | Captures the paid keyword (optional) | running+shoes |
utm_content | Differentiates ads or links (optional) | banner_v2 |
Google and another types google, GA4 counts them as two separate sources. Multiply that across a whole team and you end up with fragmented reports that make reliable attribution nearly impossible. TrackFunnels solves this with consistency rules — enforced at the point of link creation — so everyone on your team always produces the same, clean values.
